Ford Is Here For Your Community
Raising money is only a test-drive away
Drive 4 UR School and Drive 4 UR Community are two programs that give us a great opportunity to not only demonstrate how our vehicles go further, but show how Ford goes further in our local communities as well. When people get behind the wheel of our vehicles in these test-drives, we're making a positive change in the opinion of the Ford brand but, most importantly, a positive difference in our communities. With over $35 million raised, these programs have proven to be a vital part of Ford's commitment to always go further.
The Mom's View
The Mom’s View shares their point of view on fundraising efforts. Sure, you can have a bake sale or a car wash, but there has to be a better way. The Mom’s View certainly thinks so. Watch these musical moms show you how fundraising doesn’t have to be a drag with Drive 4 UR School and Ford.
When Hobart High School football player Joey Sparks was diagnosed with throat cancer, questions lingered over whether he would play football again and what the rest of his future would hold. When Hobart's crosstown rivals the Westside Cougars heard about his condition, they reached out to offer support and hope. Sparks found a way to reciprocate their kindness by organizing a Drive 4 UR School event with Paul Heuring Ford, raising funds for the Cougars to improve their facilities and obtain new equipment.
Rock Then Roll For Your School
Students across the country took the stage with rock legends when they had the opportunity to perform in concert with Foreigner. The Rock Then Roll 4 UR School program gave high school choirs the chance to sing on stage with Foreigner, receive a donation from the band and earn funds through a Drive 4 UR School event.
Disabled American Veterans
In observation of Veterans Day in 2014 and 2015, several dealerships have partnered with local chapters of Disabled American Veterans to host Drive 4 UR Community events to benefit the deserving men and women who bravely served their country. DAV, a longtime beneficiary of Ford, supports veterans nationwide, providing everything from free transportation to Veterans Affairs medical facilities to job and networking opportunities.
Susan G. Komen San Diego
In fall 2015, Drive 4 UR Community, the Warriors in Pink® More Good Days Project and the San Diego County Ford Dealers came together to raise funds for the local Susan G. Komen San Diego affiliate. All test-drive events supporting breast cancer charities help ensure women with breast cancer have better days by providing them resources they need and by funding important research.
Community Aid Elk River
To help their organizations go further, community groups created videos to show why they deserved a 2014 Transit Connect, courtesy of Drive 4 UR Community and Ford. Community Aid Elk River distributes food donations to kids in need, and the donation of a Transit Connect from Ford allowed them to increase their impact on their local community by expanding the program to include seniors and raising the number of meals they could deliver each day.
